Mac_32 How to eject a stuck CD or DVD

If the normal methods don't work, here are other methods you can use to remove the disk.

  1. Step 1
    Normal methods:

    - From the Finder, go to the "File" menu and select "Eject"
    - Drag the disk icon to the Trash

  2. Step 2
    Paste "drutil tray eject" into the Terminal application, and press return.

    The Terminal application is located in /Applications/Utilities.

  3. Step 3
    Shutdown your computer, and restart while holding the mouse button.

    It may take longer for the computer to start, but keep holding the mouse button and your disk should eject.
